The most excellent way to begin a journey in enhancing nutrition is to eat as many phytonutrients as possible. Natural compounds called phytonutrients are components of plants that are the most potent defenders for your health, including your immune system. For muscular dystrophy patients, especially, the weakened immune system makes it almost necessary, in my opinion, to maintain a healthy lifestyle. With the rise of the coronavirus and any other future viruses/sickness, I would say it is required for people with these conditions to improve their diets.

Different colored vegetables and fruits display different phytonutrient compounds. With the research of healthier foods, I realized that many studies exist that show healthy eating’s connection to heart diseases, diabetes, and cancer. These diseases can have horrific consequences for someone who needs to stay as healthy as possible to help recover your muscular systems repeatedly. The nutritional components remove toxins within the body, do suppress the risk for any cold, and maintain a healthy cardiovascular system.

The easiest way to eating lots of phytonutrients is from eating different types of colors like green, orange, brown, white, dark green, red, blue, purple, black, etc. Dark green vegetable contains the most phytonutrients, but it is good to have a variety of different sources. If you only eat one type of color then you wouldn’t be getting all the different nutrients offered by all the colors. This document describes the numerous benefits from different colored groups of fruit and vegetables that were crucial to integrating nutritious eating habits into my lifestyle. The examples I will provide are my favorite fruits and the information is either from the link below or personal experience.

I drink a healthy smoothie every morning that includes bananas and eat it a few hours before sleeping to give me more energy. I discovered that there are numerous vitamins in bananas that stabilize blood sugar in your body. Along with this, I noticed that it prevented muscle cramps following exercise and during the day. Bananas have high levels of tryptophan, which is an amino acid that your brain converts it into serotonin. Serotonin is predominantly in your digestive system that allows for the absorption of nutrients. Since constipation is a symptom of muscular dystrophy, these main impacts are a reason why bananas are incredible for anyone. I integrate bananas into my diet as smoothies and by eating the fruit as a snack. Bananas energize me and stop me from feeling tired, I encourage people to question the specific impacts you feel from each fruit and vegetable you ingest

Apples are another healthy type of fruit that contains high levels of fiber, which keeps your heart healthy. Since the heart is a muscle, this condition can impair your heart, displaying how profitable apples can bet. Although I am unaware of any studies addressing the fact that people with muscular dystrophy need more protein than other people, it obviously can not hurt to introduce more protein-prone food to enhance the recovery of muscles. Apples are only one example of a red fruit that has an immense amount of benefits, which enable people to maintain their healthiest life possible.

Oranges are known for containing a large amount of Vitamin C, which is vital to keeping your immunity healthy. Whenever I am feeling ill, I eat citrus fruits and juices as it helps my immune system fight off the specific sickness. At a time of life when I was trying to discover what was wrong with my liver, my cholesterol was extremely high. I began to eat more fruits, and I felt as if the vitamins from fruits (especially oranges) helped to reduce my cholesterol levels and to remove fat from organs. Since medication for muscular dystrophy patients makes it easier to gain weight, these healthy fruits are phenomenal in maintaining the best possible lifestyle. Removing fat around organs makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. A less amount of stress on the heart is exceptional for anyone implying how beneficial oranges can be for any individual.

I will continue to highlight the main foods I have in my diet, but I encourage everyone to do some of their own research to find the perfect diet for you. Eating healthy was the best decision of my life, and I would like everyone to consider how phenomenal your life can become by eating healthier. In a future blog, I will explain in further detail the steps I took to creating the cleanest diet I have ever had in my lifetime.
