Mushrooms are an incredibly healthy food rich in vitamins and nutrients crucial to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The food used to disgust me every time I looked at it, but I acclimated myself to enjoying mushrooms with the knowledge of the various benefits. I typically eat mushrooms through a smoothie or breakfast with an omelet to make eating mushrooms delicious. Mushrooms have many studies and proof from my experiences, demonstrating this critical ingredient’s potential. I will discuss the four mushrooms I eat called lion’s mane mushroom, pearl oyster mushroom, shiitake mushroom, and enokitake mushroom.

Healthline constructed an article named “9 Health Benefits of Lion’s Mane Mushroom (Plus side effects),” giving various benefits and a few possible side effects for the ingredient. As people age, the ability to form, grow and maintain neural connections in your brain deteriorates. Components in the mushroom help stimulate the growth of brain cells and protect them against damage. This suggests that it may combat mental diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia. Muscular dystrophy can impact your brain and connections throughout your body, and this specific mushroom could help combat the phenomenon. If you remain mentally healthy your whole life, it will be far more enjoyable. Some studies suggest that Lion’s Mane can combat depression and anxiety. Cortisol (the stress hormone) can lead to negative physiological responses demonstrating more reasons to try the food. The reduction of oxidative stress can occur (which I have mentioned) can reduce inflammation, improve blood/oxygen flow, and combat muscular dystrophy’s chronic nature. Other key benefits are enhancing your immune system (preventing you from getting sick, harming you) and avoiding cardiovascular illnesses (protects the heart and keeps it functioning at optimal levels). It is important to note that people require further research before making conclusive statements; however, the few studies and what I feel implies that there is a chance it could help you as well.

In an article by Freshcap Mushrooms named “8 Incredible Oyster Mushrooms Benefits for Immune Health,” they illustrate numerous impacts from the Oyster Mushroom. The mushroom’s beta-glucans (found in the ingredient) is known to increase the immune system’s quality, preventing illnesses that could stop you from performing any physical activity. Additionally, the mushrooms are a great substitute in any dish as they have a savory flavor and no cholesterol. It also reduces fat build-up, cholesterol levels, and high blood sugar levels. The numerous nutrients in the mushroom, including Vitamin D and Magnesium, support bone and muscle growth. The antioxidants and nutrients in the mushroom lower inflammation, which directly combats muscular dystrophy’s inflammatory nature. Oyster mushrooms are known to protect the heart against cardiovascular disease and scarring. Consequently, it defends people against neurodegenerative diseases. Since muscular dystrophy can affect brain pathways and increase heart rate, you need this mushroom to boost your body’s functioning in all aspects.

Health Lines article “Why Shitake Mushrooms Are Good For You” explores the numerous benefits that should be considered as sicknesses/diseases are growing resistant to current meditation at a rapid rate. Shiitake Mushrooms possess many of the same services from Oyster Mushrooms and Lions mane, so I will explore some of the mushrooms’ vitamins. Shiitake Mushrooms contain Eritadenine, which is a compound that inhibits an enzyme that produces cholesterol. The fact that it can impede cholesterol’s development shows how it may fight against side effects from meditation that result in high cholesterol levels and weight gain. Sterols help block cholesterol absorption proving another protective factor against high cholesterol levels. Folate is one of the B-vitamins that the body needs to make red and white blood cells in bone marrow, convert carbs into energy, and produce both DNA and RNA. Folate enhances the amount of energy you have, facilitates the development/protection of bone marrow, and makes DNA and RNA which the body repeatedly needs, especially as individuals grow older. These factors help you perform physical activities and have proper recovery following any form of exercise. Lentinan is a polysaccharide considered carbohydrate and activates your immune system, protecting you against illnesses and possibly preventing cancer. There are many more nutrients that can be vital to retaining your healthiest state.

The last mushroom is the enoki mushroom, which contains many of the same benefits, so I will not repeat them. If you eat all four of these mushrooms, they can take your life to the next level. My energy levels increased dramatically as I do not tire quickly. My heart has reduced its beats per minute, displaying the support it can give your heart. I recover rapidly and can honestly say that mushrooms if used correctly, can improve any life. The nutrients and vitamins act as a boost to the many functions in your body. I would recommend eating at least one of these four mushrooms and if you notice positive influences, purchase more.
