Spinach is one of my favorite vegetables. Along with being incredibly healthy, I enjoy the taste of spinach, explaining why I eat at least a handful of vegetables each day. There are a variety of dishes you can use to prepare spinach creatively. Taste of Home created an article called “50 Spinach Salad Recipes You’ll Love to Eat,” if you would like any ideas. Personally, my favorite way to prepare spinach salads is to use fried spinach, a vinaigrette or lemon juice for the dressings, cheese, red onion, cauliflower, and broccoli. I eat raw spinach for breakfast, lunch, and I occasionally dump spinach into my smoothies to have another dose of the healthy vegetable. The best part about spinach is that you can buy it from the store for a low price and is an excellent addition to any meal.

NDTV food composes an article called “5 Wonderful Benefits of Spinach You Never Knew,” addressing five major positives resulting from eating spinach. First of all, spinach helps strengthen your bones. Being a high source of Vitamin K, you can produce from Osteocalcin, responsible for stabilizing calcium in the bones. It binds to calcium directly and is vital to maintain a strong, resilient, and balanced bone structure. The protein helps regulate metabolism and secretion of hormones proving how wonderful eating large amounts of vegetables, especially spinach. Also, spinach has Vitamin D, calcium, fiber, potassium, magnesium, and vitamin C plays various bone health roles.

Secondly, spinach contains “beta carotene, zeaxanthin, lutein, and chlorophyll.” These compounds, found in abundant foods, improve eyesight, and boost your immune system. Better vision means you can observe the world around you well and do not need to worry about buying glasses or contacts, reducing stress continually. Better immune systems mean you will not have to spend too much money on medicine and antibiotics. A better immune system is terrific for muscular dystrophy patients because sicknesses will not impair you as much as they could. Since most patients are on steroids or medicine, incorporating spinach in your diet reduces the adverse effects of taking medication. Eating tons of spinach lowers the risk of macular degeneration, which is an eye disease that gets worse as time goes on.

Spinach can also repeal bacteria and viruses, functioning as a barrier between illnesses and healthiness. Since it is high in Vitamin A, it helps the skin and membranes to repel bacteria and viruses more effectively. It also helps keep your hair and skin moisturized, which is crucial for me since I currently live in an incredibly dry environment. The vitamin helps the growth and maintenance of all bodily tissues, including hair and skin. My skin is incredibly sensitive, so it is fantastic to have something that can reduce the risk of infections and viruses from impairing the body. Better skin quality enhances self-confidence describing how it may be useful for patients with this condition that can impact physical appearance.

The final two benefits include the promotion of heart health and the fact that spinach keeps people energized. Spinach gives magnesium, which helps generate energy and also helps recover the following exercise. It is also an excellent folate source, a nutrient designed to help turn food into ATP. It can also help balance your body’s pH levels, ensuring homeostasis, and keeping your body in a potent form. Vitamin C prevents wrinkles, protects against eye diseases, and reduces risks of cardiovascular diseases. Another component in spinach called Lutein prevents the walls of arteries from thickening, making people more prone to cardiovascular diseases. On top of improving heart health, Lutein promotes brain health, cognitive function, memory, and mood. A healthy mentality, brain, and attitude decrease the buildup of stress that is terrible for your heart.

Trust me when I say that spinach can change your life. When I began eating spinach, my life turned around, and I only wanted everybody to experience the same phenomenon. In addition to being delicious, it has abundant benefits that everybody should enjoy. I would recommend eating this vegetable for everybody, even if you are incredibly healthy.
